In search of a better way and discovering an ancient option…
Our small school in Mansfield, TX isn’t the first outdoor forest school and we didn’t invent the idea of letting kids play and learn outdoors… studies have consistently shown that outdoor experiences in early childhood education enhance cognitive development, emotional well-being, social skills, and academic achievement.
Learning outdoors fosters cognitive growth, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking abilities. It plays a crucial role in enhancing these abilities by stimulating curiosity and exploration…that is why we are building our school on the philosophy that learning in nature is best for our children.
Anothen Outdoor Academy is a Christian School located on a 22-acre campus in Mansfield, TX. Our nature-based program provides a unique curriculum with classrooms for Ages 18 months - 4th Grade!
Anothen Outdoor Academy is not funded by or affiliated with any church or outside organization. We are a veteran-owned and operated outdoor learning center located in Mansfield, Texas.
