bridge

Welcome to Bridge!

In our Kindergarten level class, we work together to create a family culture. You will see “In this class we are family" on the walls to emphasize that we are family and we must work together as a whole. We also begin to learn how to be independent. My scholars will know that we are always there to help, but we encourage them to always try first.

It’s also important to me that we emphasize that God created each one of us in a unique way. There is no one else in the world that is created exactly like them. The ultimate goal in Bridge is to create an environment that allows our students to LOVE learning and to not be afraid to make a mistake or try new things.

For curriculum, we use Alveary Curriculum (based on Charlotte Mason's Principles), The Science of Reading (critical reading skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension), and Right Start Math (grouping, visualizing quantities, number naming, and strategizing through song games). Throughout our learning experiences we will also incorporate science, art, gardening, cooking, Spanish, movement, and music! All programing is heavily natured based.
